SALE! 60s Twiggy's Stockings
A fabulous, groovy pair of stockings by Givenchy!
The color is called "Beige", and that's exactly what they are. Not a true fishnet design, these are even better, with sturdier weaving and holes that are more rounded than diamond-shaped.
The welt on one of the stockings is stamped with the Givenchy name in yellow and states that they're "Imported from Spain" (in purple), the other stocking says "Made in Spain" and "Nylon 100%", both stamped in white. The RN indicates that the manufacturer was Chadbourn Inc., a hosiery company that began business in the 1930s in the US. The Spain/US/Givenchy connection is a mystery to me.
Made to be worn with a garter belt, molto sexy! In original packaging, never worn.
Condition:
The stockings are excellent. Still stretchy and fresh. The packaging is a bit beat up, with a few tiny hole pokes and yellowing.
Measurements:
From welt (top of stocking) to toe: stretches from 27 to 40 inches/68.6 to 101.6 cm with ease
Top of thigh: stretches from 10 to 18 inches/25.4 to 45.7 cm with ease
