40s I Love You Lady Duff Nightgown Small
Absolutely darling, perfect for a trousseau or a gift for someone you love. Lady Duff was a well-known fashion designer in the late 19th/early 20th century and was a survivor of the sinking of the Titanic.
This gown was manufactured by Lady Duff and is bias-cut rayon crepe-de-chine. Soft white in color, this lovely confection has a scalloped sweetheart neckline and a drapey "v" at the back.
The bodice is covered with glossy embroidery and satin appliques, bouquets, posies and bows and declares (over the heart), "I Love You". So sweet!
Gathered from under the bust, it falls in elegant lines to the hemline, which is inset with a godet at each side.
A lovely treasure for a night you'll never forget!
Condition:
Good to Very Good. Two teeny, tiny pinholes at the right shoulder, nearly invisible. Two very pale spots of yellow near the bottom of the gown, front left. They're nearly invisible and very hard to spot (I forgot about them when I photo'd and I'll try to remember to get a photo of them up quickly.). Other than that, simply darling and truly a piece that could become an heirloom.

Waist: to 30 inches/76.2 cm
Hips: to 38 inches/96.5 cm
Length from shoulder to hem: 51 inches/129.5 cm
