1980 YVES SAINT LAURENT RIVE GAUCHE Flowers & Stripes Silk Dress M/L
Beautiful! By Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, this dress is from the spring summer collection of 1980. I've included a photo I found from @yves_rive_gauche on his instagram page (photo by Paul van Riel) and I would say that this dress is the same as the one in his photo.
The dress is silk, deep black, covered in flowers that are purple, yellow, blue, green and white. The striped, ruffled collar travels down into the wrap skirt and the ruffles appear at the cuffs and hem of the dress as well. Contrasting flowers and stripes really make this dress extra special and eye-catching. There are ties at the bust that can close up the top of the dress. The matching belt wraps around the dress and could be tied at the side, front, back-you decide.
The neckline and top front of the dress is lined. Closes with two hooks at the front of the dress.
Condition:
Very Good. The back of the waist is elasticized and most of the elastic has lost its bounce. I decided to leave it as is and the buyer can have it repaired (or not). Depending on your seamstress, that could cost anywhere from $10 to $50 by my estimate. Otherwise, beautiful!

Bust: 38 inches/97 cm
Waist: 34 inches/86 cm (remember the elastic is worn)
Hips: to 40 inches/102 cm
Length from shoulder to waist: 17 inches/43 cm
Length from waist to hem: 25 inches/64 cm
Across the shoulders: 14 inches/36 cm
Sleeve length: 25.5 inches/65 cm
