70s Green Floral Rodrigues Career Dress 34b 26w
Albino Rodrigues trained at Pratt Institute. He worked with Teal Traina, Jane Derby and Geoffrey Beene. He helped Peter Clements to make wonderful dresses that sold mostly in the $100 to $150 range and designed for upwardly mobile women who had money but who didn't necessarily want to invest a fortune in a dress.
A really nice dress, perfect for the office. Deep forest green with splashes of orange-red posies and gold-yellow. Fabric feels like a synthetic blend, soft and comfortable. The bodice and upper back are lined. Gathered at the wrists, where each cuff closes with 3 buttons. Ties at the back with an attached self-belt and closes with a long hidden zipper. Very nicely made, as are all Rodrigues creations!
Condition:
Very Good to Excellent. Very probably shortened and re-hemmed and a good job at preserving proportion, this dress is lovely. Can't be seen. Other than that, excellent.
