60s Curvy Black Wool Lanz Mad Men Dress 34b/23w
Okay, through the years I've had lots of Lanz dresses that I've loved, but I can say without hesitation that this is my absolute favorite! So sexy and cute and with the best Mad Men styling. The copyright on the tag says 1959. This fabulous frock is deep black wool (some photos have been lightened to show detail), very fine and soft and not at all scratchy.
Lightly gathered under the bust and at the waist. The wide waistband is finished with a large-ish satin ribbon and bow, which is wound through the fabric of the dress.
This dress is a definite head-turner, and my favorite part might be the back, which closes entirely with buttons at the top of the back, hooks & eyes across the waistband and snaps below that. No zipper!
With the exception of the sleeves, this dress is fully lined.
Condition:
