50s Round Gold ROSENFELD Vintage Purse Bag Roses
What an adorable, wonderful bag to add to your collection! I believe this bag is 1950's vintage.
Made in Italy (I do love Italian bags), it is solid metal brushed gold and has a rounded, cylindrical shape that tapers at each end. The ends of the purse are finished with large sculptured roses.
The purse opens with a hinged lid, which reveals a mustard yellow lining inside. A double strand of twisted gold chain comprises the strap. The bag rests on 4 tiny gold feet.
A rare, beautiful find.
Condition:
Very Good. The tiniest bit of oxidation within the rose petals on the right side of the bag detracts very little, if at all (looks like more and darker in the photos than it really is). Superficial scratching on the inner lid is barely noticeable. The hinge works great, the inside has only minor wear. A little beauty.
Measurements:
Length: 6 & 3/8 inches at its widest point; a teeny tad under 6 inches at its narrowest point
Height: 4.75 inches
Width: 4 inches
A small-ish bag, but not teeny-tiny and it will hold quite a lot of items.
