This gown by Ralph Montenero brings to my mind that iconic photograph of Sophia Loren giving the eye to Jayne Mansfield's dress at a dinner event. Jet black nylon (some of the photos have been lightened to show detail) with a slight shimmer, the fabric is opaque. Very simply designed but a devastatingly sexy delivery: low-dipped nearly-revealed bust, curvy shaping. Sold at Joseph Magnin, an upscale store in the San Francisco Bay area that eventually expanded to the rest of California, Utah and Hawaii, among other places.

Condition:

Excellent. A little frazzling on the tag, not bad.
