60s Black Velvet & Wine Skirt Suit Small 34b/24w
Striking and fun! This fab suit has no maker's label, but it was commercially made.
Raven-black rayon velvet; both pieces are fully lined with black acetate. The jacket is trimmed around the neck, down the front, at the hem and the wrists with wine-colored, deeply gathered and fringed faille, embellished with deep wine cording. It closes at the front with 3 frog closures.
The matching skirt is trimmed at the hemline with the fringed, corded faille and closes at the left hip with a metal zipper and button. A super cute, hippie Edwardian-inspired look!
Condition:
Very Good. A very, very small amount of crush to the velvet in a couple of places; not very noticeable and does not detract from this fantastic set's appearance at all. Really looks never worn.
