SALE! 70s Black Velvet Swing Coat Small 38b
This is an amazing coat by drizzle inc., a coat company that was founded in 1969. They made really cute, trendy, fashion-forward coats in the 70s, and this beauty, which was sold at Robinson's, easily makes the transition to modern times. The price range for their coats was $100 to $900, which makes this a higher-end, very nicely tailored piece.
Jet black in color (some photos have been lightened to show details), the coat is a heavy-ish weight cotton velvet. Flanged shoulders and a small, pointed collar. A tabbed button near the wrist of each sleeve, diagonal slash pockets at the front. An inverted pleat down the center back gives this pretty coat much swing and fullness.
Fully lined with black acetate; the hem is finished with seam tape and there's an extra button hidden inside, just in case! Closes at the front with 6 marbled plastic buttons.
Condition:
Excellent; near mint; looks never worn. The Robinson's label is coming loose, easily fixed.
