60s MAIDENFORM CONCERTINA Panty Girdle Garters Large
This foundation is soft white in color. Satin panels at the front and back, with peek-a-boo stitching down the front. Nylon gusset.
Tight, stretchy spandex and elastic. Mesh action insert at the back. Finished with scalloped, stitched hemlines and four metal and rubber garters.
Maidenform created the Concertina girdle to deal with the problem of waistline rolling and creeping in girdles. They created an "action insert" that opens when the wearer bends, preventing the girdle from rolling and moving. A nice design, and one that really works! As the advertisements said, "You'll never yank at a girdle again!"
Condition: Good. Please note as I've indicated in the photos, there is a spot on the front right of the girdle that there is an area where there are several very light, small spots. I didn't notice these until after I had washed the girdle, so they've not been treated. It's possible (no promises!) that they may lift out with some treatment. Another one of those little spots on the tummy panel on the left, just under the satin and a little one down near the hem on the left leg. They're very light and detract very little. The powernet has yellowed a bit with age. Finally, there is furring happening at the seam down the right hip and over the right tush seam; it's happening at the left as well but not as apparent. Doesn't detract at all from wear as the seams are strong and intact and I feel it detracts very little. Powernet, elastic and rubber stoppers are in great shape. It may sound like a lot but I do like to be thorough in my descriptions. This panty girdle has TONS of life left in her still and looks good on. I've priced her accordingly.
