Clovis Ruffin had his first major show of a collection in 1972 and the next year he became the youngest designer to win a Coty award. Inexpensive, clingy t-shirt-like dresses became his trademark. He helped focus the fashion industry on young women who had grown up in blue jeans and were looking for youthful, affordable clothes as they entered the workforce. - Information gleaned from 1992 New York Times article.

To know her is to love her, this dress is wonderful!

*Sheer, lightly ruffled chiffon collar. Sheer chiffon sleeves ending in ruffled puffs. Soft, slinky polyester jersey flares at the skirt.

*The long opening at the back adds a sexy surprise to this otherwise demure dress. Hand-finished seams at the opening of the dress. Unlined, this dress slips over the head and closes at the back of the neckline with a hook & eye.

This is one little black dress that needs absolutely NOTHING in the way of accessories to enhance it, it is perfection!

Condition:

Very Good to Excellent. The elastic at the wrists has lost all of its stretch, however, it really doesn't detract because the puff and gathers at the wrists is still there and will not fall out because the elastic is stretched as much as it will ever stretch, very tight. Other than that, this darling dress appears never worn. You'll love it.
