I don't list a lot of Gunne Sax dresses because well, they do seem to be everywhere, don't they? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE most of their dark gothic dresses, but most of the maxis don't do it for me. However, I couldn't resist this dress, I find it quite beautiful and interesting, LOVE the colors! This dress probably dates to 1980 or so, but is possibly a very late 70s creation.

Done in the prettiest color palette of cream, rose pink, goldenrod and sage green, this dress is cotton, including the velvet. Full sleeves with fitted, zippered wrists. Dramatic collar and open neckline that falls into a corseted bodice, which has princess seams and a high waist for a fitted look.

The print is one of dainty roses on a background of dotted lattice. The velvet is lush and a beautiful dark sage green in color. Finished with a huge flowered flounce.

*Closes at the back with a long polyester zipper.

Condition:

Excellent. Looks never worn or worn once and stored. Fabric content and size label cut out. The velvet is in near-perfect condition with only a couple of very, very light dinks in it.

Length from shoulder to hem: 58 inches/147.3 cm
