HOW I MEASURE

♥ Please know your TRUE measurements, leaving room to move comfortably in the clothing. Vintage sizes are not the same as modern sizes. Measurements given are of the garment itself, not your measurements. Compare the measurements for the item(s) you're interested in to a similar garment that fits you well. If you need further information regarding measurements, please ask before making your purchase.

♥ Garments are measured by laying them flat on a table and doubling the measurements across the bust (armpit to armpit), waist and hips, without stretching unless otherwise noted. Measurements are only doubled for the bust, waist and hips.

♥ Bust is measured across the front from underarm seam to underarm seam. Your bust measurement is not your bra size.

♥ Waist is measured from side seam to side seam at the waist seam or at the smallest part of the waist if there is no seam.

♥ Hips are measured from side seam to side seam approximately 10 inches below the waist.

♥ Shoulder to waist is measured from the shoulder seam to the waist seam.

♥ Sleeve length is measured from the top of the armhole seam where it meets the shoulder to the end of the cuff or from the approximate natural shoulder.

♥ Shoulder to shoulder is measured across the back from the shoulder seam at each side. If there are no shoulder seams, across the back between the approximate natural shoulders.

♥ Inseam is measured from the crotch down the inside of the leg to the hem.

♥ Rise is measured from waist to crotch.

♥ Shoes are measured from the tip of the toe to the end of the heel, on the inside of the shoe, with a fabric tape measure (unless otherwise noted). The width is measured at the widest point at the ball of the foot area, on the outside of the shoe.

♥ Hands/Gloves: Around the hand at the knuckles, not including the thumb.

♥ Hats: The measurement is taken around the inner circumference of the hat.

Please remember that you'll need to account for comfort in your measurements! This depends on whether you like a looser or tighter fit. A general guideline would be to allow 1.5 to 4 inches of ease at the bust, 1 to 2 inches at the waist and 2 inches at the hips.

♥ I measure everything at least twice before listing.
