60s Yellow Brocade Tulip Skirt Party Dress 34b/25w
Such a pretty dress, party perfect! No maker's tag inside, but commercially made. Probable acetate and nylon fabric. Lovely, glossy brocaded fabric with large embossed roses, in a brilliant pale gold-yellow color.
This dress has a scooped neckline, with a deeper scoop at the back. Princess seams. The waistline is piped and embellished with a large bow. Darted from the waist, the skirt is puffy and full and is lined with pellon and a little (pretty useless) crinoline. The dress is shown withOUT an additional crinoline. Closes at the back with a long metal zipper.
Condition:
Very Good. A wee bit of a smudge/water mark at the right shoulder, nearly invisible. A small dot of rust color near the hem on the right, will not be noticed. The zipper was coming loose at a teeny spot at the waist, that has been repaired. The crinoline beneath has seen better days and is torn; I have left it in but would remove it if it were mine-since the dress is pellon lined, it has all the support it needs. I've priced it according to these small flaws, the dress is a real head-turner!
