Vintage J FRIEDES Elephant Pin Brooch

This little guy makes me think of Babar. Elephants are wonderful creatures and we're so lucky to share our world with them. This lovely brooch is signed "J. Friedes N.Y.C.", I don't have any information on the maker of this piece. This is not a flimsy piece of jewelry, it has a nice weight to it. Textured gold-tone metal. The eyes are creamy-white little "pearls". Locking c-clasp.
Condition:

Excellent, no flaws to note.
