Lady Duff was a well-known fashion designer in the late 19th/early 20th century and survived the sinking of the Titanic. She was a very talented woman and led a fascinating life. There are many references to her on the internet, really interesting reading.

This is a rare find, a beautiful Lady Duff gown in silky black nylon! Just gorgeous! Dropped capped sleeves, made of tulle, are trimmed with lace. Skinny rolled satin straps at the shoulders. The tulle and rolled satin appear again at the décolletage. Softly gathered bust. Lace trims the top of the gown, front and back. Silky sheer, soft, gossamer nylon. The bottom of the gown is fantastic: swishy gathered tulle framed with lace top and bottom. This Lady Duff nightgown is a showstopper!

Condition:

Excellent. A couple of light picks in the nylon do not detract. The tag is a wee bit frazzled. Appears seldom or never worn.
