Alfred Shaheen is one of the best known of the Hawaiian garment and textile designers of the 20th Century. Shaheen was active from 1948 into the 1980s, but he is best known for his work in the 1950s. - Information from Vintage Fashion Guild Label Resource.

A fun dress with the coolest, Native-American inspired print. This polyester knit dress is hand-washable (hooray!). The background color is dark cream. The bodice and straps are done in triangle and diamond patterns and the colors are turquoise blue, black, deep rust brown and mustard. Empire waist.

The skirt flares into a gentle a-line and features a long 21.5 inch slit at the back. Numerous tribal designs are silk-screened onto the fabric and a taupe color is added to the mix. Closes at the back with a long polyester zipper.

Condition:

Excellent; this dress appears to have been worn only to try on, it's nearly minty! The hemline is smudgy but I am positive it will come out with a gentle hand-washing.
