70s Bitchin' Gold Impo Platform Peep Toe Shoes 7.5 / 8
Wow, whatta great pair of shoes! By Impo Casual, a company that originally opened in 1969 as Impo International by two brothers from Denmark. The company began in Denmark and then moved to Greece, where this fabulous pair of shoes hail from.
Metallic gold leather uppers, with open toes and ankle straps. The wedge portion of the shoe feels like a lightweight wood and has been stained a cinnamon-brown color. The finishing touch is the addition to the outside of each heel of a spray of flowers, which appear to be real copper, as there is some blue oxidation to the metal on the left shoe. A very attractive, femmie, fun pair of shoes!
Condition:
Very Good. A little scuffing on the leather, not bad at all, and they've been treated with leather conditioner-the leather is soft and supple. A little discoloration and fade on the shoe bed, can't be seen when worn. The shoes look like they were worn once and then stored.
Measurements:
There is no marked size on the shoes, but I believe they'll fit a 7.5 to 8; I wear either size (depending on the brand) and these fit perfectly (yes, I'm tempted!). See my measurements for a perfect fit:
Length from toe to heel: 9 & 7/8 inches
Across the ball of the foot: 3 inches
Heel height: 4 & 3/8 inches
