50s Some Enchanted Evening Prom Party Dress 34b/27w
A beautifully done seafoam green chiffon confection. No maker's tag, but commercially made (see last photo).
Boned, strapless, pleated shelf-bust with princess seams over the tummy and back.
The dropped, piped waist leads into a full, fluffy skirt of chiffon, supported with a layer of acetate and another layer of netting. The skirt is adorned with a ribbon-like row of chiffon at the middle and finished with a big bow.
Closes at the back with a long metal zipper.
Condition:
Very Good. Please note in the second-to-last photo, there was a repair at the back middle seam, at the hemline. Remember that the photo is magnified-when the dress is worn this repair is not seen. A small repair at the layer of chiffon at the center, again, not noticeable. A couple of teeny, tiny holes in the skirt do not detract. A small tear in the acetate slip, cannot be seen from the outside. It may sound like a lot, but none of these flaws are at all tragic: the dress is beautiful and you'll feel like a princess when you're wearing it!
